Inc. 5000 entrepreneur Jessica Nunez, President and Founder of TruePoint Communications, shares how the agency’s fast-growth environment is propelling brands forward.
How does your company help other businesses become more effective?
TruePoint provides integrated marketing communications — marketing strategy, digital media, and public relations, including crisis communications — to generate meaningful results. “Integration” and “meaningful results” are central to what we do for clients. We live in an integrated world where information is consumed from several touch points. When your marketing approach is strategic and connected, it generates better results for the business and brand. At TruePoint, it’s not enough to generate a result for a client; it has to be meaningful, and it has to contribute to propelling the brand forward.
What differentiates your company from others in your industry?
Our clients often tell us that we’re different than other agencies. We’re strategic in our approach and committed to their business. We constantly deliver fresh ideas to support our clients in the changing business climate. We’re a confidant consultant and trusted advisor.
What do you enjoy most about doing business in the Dallas Region?
When I started a PR agency 14 years ago, I was told by many people I should go to New York City or Los Angeles and grow there first. However, I believed our roots belonged in Texas and that we could accomplish everything agencies in those areas could. In Dallas, we’re centrally located to cover both coasts. We have an excellent talent pool, steady business growth, and corporate relocation has been strong with most businesses coming from New York and California.
Why did you decide to become a DRC member?
We joined DRC for two reasons: 1) Several members shared DRC resources with us, and those insights have been beneficial to adapting in this business climate. We want direct access to the resources, and we want to contribute when we can, too. 2) We often recommend that our clients relocating to the Dallas Region join DRC to establish their footing in the community. It only makes sense that we’re in the mix, too.
How has your business changed in the past five years?
We’ve had explosive growth, including ranking for three consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Companies in the U.S. Digital media – in particular, social media and community management – are our largest growth areas.
