Today, the Dallas Regional Chamber announced it signed a long-term lease on its 26th floor, 25,436 square-foot office space in the premier Ross Tower in the Dallas Art District. Longtime DRC members JLL and CBRE brokered the deal. The DRC has been in Ross Tower since 2012.
“There’s no better place to promote the greater region than looking out our office windows, surrounded by the many communities we serve every day,” said Angela Farley, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the DRC. “As a non-profit entity, we have financial limitations to be good stewards for our members, and thanks to JLL, CBRE, and our landlord, HPI, they helped us secure a long-term, prudent investment. We’re honored to remain a marquis tenant here.”
With 45 stories, Ross Tower soars over Ross Avenue providing panoramic views of the entire region, including Oak Cliff, Fair Park, Arlington, Fort Worth, DFW Airport, Plano, Irving, Grapevine, and Midlothian.
“Because the chamber is a non-profit entity and disciplined stewards on behalf of their members, we reached out to the landlords with specific parameters,” said Phil Puckett, Vice Chairman of CBRE’s Dallas office. “It led to four great results for the DRC — a great value, a great landlord, a great building, and a great space.”
Brad Selner, South Central Region President at JLL, said demand for Class A and Class AA office space on the north side of the Central Business District and in Uptown remain high.
“In 2020, planned construction on several new projects in the Uptown/CBD areas stopped, and ramping those projects back up will take time,” said Selner, who also serves on the DRC’s Board of Directors. “In this in-demand area, you have financial services, insurance, and other professional service firms who are already back in the office, unlike many Fortune 500 companies in the northern suburbs who may still be deciding their future work environment.”
Russell Cosby, Blake Waltrip, and Selner represented JLL in the deal. CBRE, who is also represented on the DRC’s Board of Directors, was led by Harlan Davis and Puckett. Hunter Lee, Ben Cuzen, and Luke Aviles at HPI represented Ross Tower.
“It was critical to be in a Class A building that helps us best represent the region to both current and incoming companies,” Farley said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better economic development recruiting tool.”
