About the Program

YP Get on Board, an annual initiative by the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Young Professionals (YP) group, links young professionals with board service opportunities at Dallas-area nonprofit organizations. This program cultivates impactful partnerships, providing nonprofits with fresh perspectives while equipping the next generation of Dallas Region change-makers to drive meaningful change in their communities.

Important Dates

  • Friday, Aug. 30 – Applications open
  • Friday, Sept. 27 – Application deadline
  • Monday, Oct. 7 – Application status notifications made
  • Oct. 7-Nov. 1 – Nonprofits conduct applicant interviews
  • Monday, Nov. 18 – Applicants notified of board placement status
  • Nov. 19-Dec. 6 – Participants receive board training from the DRC
