The Say Yes to Dallas campaign is a talent attraction initiative created by the DRC to help human resource professionals attract talented workers from around the world to the Dallas Region.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FUND
A business looking to provide upskilling opportunities to current employees can be awarded a grant of up to $500,000 to partner with a local community college, technical college, or workforce development board to provide customized training. Employers must also pay prevailing wages in the local market for trainees. Learn more.

SKILLS RECRUIT TEXAS
Skills Recruit Texas provides financial support to community colleges or technical colleges to deliver rapid response training and upskilling services for employers expanding operations to or in Texas. Programs developed must have customized training programs, a fast-tracked curriculum, and instructor certifications to conduct the training and acquire the necessary training equipment. Learn more.

SKILLS FOR SMALL BUSINESS
Businesses with fewer than 100 employees qualify for this grant program. The grant includes varying tuition and fees reimbursement for new hires and incumbent employees, those being $1,800 and $900 respectively. Training can be selected from community colleges or technical colleges that fulfill the desired outcomes. Learn more.

SELF SUFFICIENCY FUND
Private, nonprofit organizations, community colleges, and technical colleges, can apply for a grant of up to $500,000 for training projects. Training must be focused on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), or individuals at risk of becoming dependent on public assistance. HIGH-DEMAND JOB TRAINING
Economic Development Corporations that specialize in special projects such as infrastructure, manufacturing, or research and development can apply for a grant with a local workforce development board to leverage up to $1 million to fund training for locally identified high-demand jobs. Boards can use funds to match dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000 annually to support job training and related costs. Learn more.

TEXAS INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP
A local workforce development board that is awarded a grant under this program would partner with eligible private industry partners to leverage dollar-for-dollar matches up to $150,000 to fund related high-demand training and associated costs. Industries for this program are focused on Advanced Technologies and Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defense, Biotech and Life Sciences, IT, Petroleum Refining, and Energy. Learn more.
